The Fremont National Recreation Trail was originally built by the US Youth Corps in 1995/96. It was destroyed in huge forest fires that swept across the state in 2002. In the last year, Woody and Chris from Cogwild have toiled with chainsaws and shovels to restore this amazing trail. Hundreds of blow-down trees have been cut through so we can again enjoy this route.
