Whilst it is difficult to get away from crowds on the ski slopes in Val d'Isere, if you don snow shoes, it is possible to explore hidden valleys. Get there early after a snow fall and the place is magical. There was so little detail in the frame it was very difficult to get the exposure or colour cast right.
